Property Finance

Our team are experienced in acting for borrowers and lenders in relation to commercial property funding matters.  Whether you are purchasing with finance, re-mortgaging or requiring development finance we can assist.

When acting for borrowers we can advise on the loan documentation and security, including legal charges and debentures. We will deal with the lender’s enquiries and requirements in a prompt and efficient manner so that, wherever possible, you have the funding released as and when you need it.

We also act for lenders either where the lender requires independent advice or where the lender is happy for us to be jointly instructed by both the lender and the borrower. In acting for the lender we:

  • Investigate the title to the security property to ascertain whether it is good and marketable
  • Undertake property searches
  • Raise any necessary enquiries
  • Report any adverse matters to both the lender and the valuer for their further consideration before the lender proceeds to advance the funds

Following completion, we attend to all post completion formalities, including the registration of any corporate charges at Companies House and registration of the charge documentation at the Land Registry.
